Mr.Assaye Legesse was the pioneer of the LFSDP since the design and led the project for four years of its successful implementation. His ambition and vision to improve the livelihoods of the small holder farmers especially through the livestock and fishery sector was beyond words. Mr. Assaye`s professionalism, experience and energy have been an asset and influence to many of the project team and to the entire implementing regions. It is well understood and recognized that his contribution for aligning LFSDP in the second phase was also so immense. During the farewell program, H.E Dr.Fikru Regassa, Regional Livestock and Fisheries Heads, Federal and Regional LFSDP Coordinators and current WB LFSDP TTL and colleagues from the WB were the attendants. The farewell and best wishes messages delivered by H. E .Dr Fikru Regassa . and Dr. Thomas Cherenet in that both expressed their deep appreciations for the service Mr. Assaye provided.
